How to Eat Oatmeal
Out of all cereals, oatmeal is one of the most wholesome with the most health benefits. It is a very low calorie food which also provides us with vitamins A, B, E, and minerals that complement our diet and improve our body functions. Despite this, many people do not know how to eat oatmeal or think that the only way to eat it is hot. The most traditional and common way to eat oatmeal is hot, i.e porridge, at breakfast time. This dish is full of energy and can be made with the following ingredients:
- 2 cups milk
- 6 tbsp. oat flakes
- Powdered cinnamon
- Sugar to taste
Mix all the ingredients except the cinnamon in a pot, and cook over a medium heat for at least 10 minutes, stirring frequently with a wooden spoon. Mix together in a blender a glass of milk, (cow's, soy or almond), two tablespoons of oatmeal, and sugar and cinnamon to taste. Leave the mixture to blend well to break the oats down as much as possible. Drink immediately after and enjoy its refreshing, sweet and delicious taste.
