Here at OneHowTo, we're going to tell you how to froth milk without an espresso machine, so you can enjoy your favorite drinks without the extra cost! You're welcome.

Steps to follow:
1

To froth milk without an espresso machine, you're going to need a couple of simple things.

These are:

  • A microwave
  • A clean, empty jam jar
  • Milk - low or non fat milk froths the best
2

The first step will be to pour your milk into the jam jar.

Fill the jar with as much milk as you will use for your drink, whether it's a coffee or a tea latte, but no more than 2/3 as you need to leave space for the foam! Screw the lid on.

3

The next step is to shake the jar thoroughly for around a minute.

The jar should now be filled to the top with froth and bubbles. If this is the case, you're doing it right!

4

Now let's take our milk to the microwave.

Unscrew the lid and microwave for 30 seconds with the top completely uncovered. Do not leave the lid in the microwave!

The microwave helps to stabilize the froth so that the foam doesn't just disappear.
