The first of the health benefits of spelt flour is that it's high in niacin. In fact, 100g of spelt flour contains up to 5.5mg of this substance, which is also called vitamin B3. This is 5% more than wheat flour. According to some scientific studies, the recommended daily allowance of niacin is 20mg, so 100g is 27.5% of the amount that we need.

Like other B vitamins, vitamin B3 helps our energy metabolism, produces sex and stress hormones in the adrenal glands, improves circulation and reduces blood cholesterol levels.

It is rich in minerals. Compared with wheat flour, spelt flour contains more minerals such as copper, iron, zinc, magnesium and phosphorus.
