The pizza sauce must unite the classic Italian flavours if you want the pizza to be delicious, what is good is that it does not require much effort to get because it is very simple recipe that we give you below.

To start, you cut the onion and garlic into small cubes. In a deep skillet or pot, add oil and heat over medium low heat, when hot add the onion and let soften for 5 minutes. Then add the garlic and let it all cook for 2 minutes.

Once the onion is golden and the garlic is cooked, add 500 grams of tomato paste, a teaspoon of sugar and salt and pepper to taste. Stir well and cook over low heat stirring frequently. The pizza sauce will take between 10 and 15 minutes to cook, halfway through you can add the oregano and Provencal herbs to spice up this preparation.

When the sauce has thickened and tomatoes have a deep red colour, then the sauce is ready. Test it to make sure it is well seasoned, if it is acidic add a little more sugar. Once ready incorporate some whole fresh basil leaves, stir and turn off heat.
