Steps to follow to make this recipe:

There are 3 secrets to making delicious and crunchy chicken fingers:

  • Using cornflakes for the batter, which will make them much crispier.
  • Using a good spice combination to coat the chicken so it has an intense flavour.
  • Drain the oil well, using absorbent paper so they are crisper.

If you practice these tips, it is almost certain that your chicken fingers will leave everyone amazed.

The first step to make this recipe is to cut the chicken into strips, if you don't buy them ready sliced from the supermarket that is. Then you should season your chicken fingers in a bowl adding half a teaspoon of curry, average paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper to taste.

If you want to experiment with other spices to your liking you can, the taste is sure to be great.

Peel 3 cloves garlic and crush them slightly, add the chicken and stir well so that each strip is properly seasoned. Cover and leave in the fridge for at least 2 hours to marinate so the chicken acquires an exquisite flavour.

After the marinating time is over, it's time to fry your chicken fingers and eat them with all the flavours of the world. But before that, for the breadcrumbs, crush the cornflakes in proportion with the amount of chicken and in a bowl, whisk the egg and put flour in another bowl.

Add the oil (preferably) to a non-stick pan over medium heat. While this is heating start breading the chicken fingers: first dip them in the egg, then flour and then finally into the cereal flakes. Carefully throw them in the oil afterwards.

When browned, take them out of the pan and place on a plate with kitchen paper. Remember that the secret of crispy chicken fingers is to drain the oil properly, so this process is imperative.

Once ready, serve with your choice of sauces: barbecue, honey mustard or a simple ketchup. You can also try something a bit more risky such as pineapple sauce. Enjoy these tasty fried chicken strips, knowing that the kids will get stuck in with this recipe at home.
