The first step to make chocolate yogurt without a machine is to pour the milk into a glass and set aside. We will use the milk later to give the chocolate yogurt we will prepare creaminess and texture.
Place a pan on medium heat and pour into it all the remaining milk from the liter bottle. Leave for a few moments to warm into the pot before adding the other ingredients.
Then break off just 300 grams of the confectionery chocolate. When you have calculated the correct amount, start adding the chocolate in small pieces into the pot and mix with the milk.
Once you have added all the chocolate, add to the mixture of 200 ml of cream, 4 tablespoons of sugar and two envelopes of curd powder, you an find this in any supermarket or specialist bakery shop. Do not forget to stir all the ingredients so they end up smooth. At this point, if you wish, you can add a pinch of cinnamon to add a note of flavor to the chocolate yogurt.
When the chocolate is melted, use the blender to remove any remaining lumps from the powders. Like so you will give it the creamy texture of a homemade chocolate yogurt.
Add the glass of milk you previously set aside and the two teaspoons of cornstarch. Stir until dissolved and then add the glass of milk to the pot. Once all the ingredients are in the pot, let the mixture simmer for about 8 minutes.
After this time, remove it from the heat and place the mixture in the containers you have selected for serving. Once you have filled each one with chocolate yoghurt, leave to cool in the fridge. Remember that they should be left to cool for 3 days before serving, this will give them the desired creamy texture.
Voilà! In a few minutes you will have your chocolate yoghurt prepared without use of a yoghurt maker. Play around with the presentation or add some strawberries, whipped cream, nuts or berries. It is a delicious way to accompany the chocolate and you will give the desert a personal touch. Try it!
