Steps to follow to make this recipe:

First, choose the type of coconut that you fancy. We have proposed to use coconut milk instead of whole milk, as well you will find that this twist adds more flavour to the yogurt. However, if you just want to give a little touch of coconut you can try to use coconut flakes, desicated coconut, or even coconut flavouring. Use the type of coconut that will be more practical and accessible (canned, natural, etc.)

Once you have selected the coconut, toss in a pot a litre of milk and grated coconut. We have proposed 60 grams, but if you really like the coconut you can add more. If you also want to incorporate lemon peel, you should add it to the mixture at this time.

Put the pot on the stove over a mid fire and allow the mixture to warm up for a few minutes. When you see that it starts to boil, it will be time to put out the fire. Next, place the mixture in a bowl or container and let cool in the refrigerator overnight. Remember: do not put the hot mixture in the refrigerator directly, as it may be damaged. It is best to let it cool first down natural.

Past the corresponding hours in the refrigerator, you must go about pouring milk. Use a kitchen strainer to it. We recommend that this be as thin as possible so that no impurities are filtered.

Then add the milk to the plain yogurt, sweetener and powdered milk and mix all these ingredients. You can tune a little milk before to help you leave the mass without lumps.

It's time to plop your coconut yogurt in selected containers where you go to serve then. Play around with your imagination, if you want to surprise your guests even with such a rich dessert. Once served, yogurt lids on.

Then place the vessels within the yogurt pot and let stand at least for about 12 hours. After this time, reposition the yogurt in the refrigerator and let it cool for 4 hours, approximately.

Ready! You have your coconut yogurt ready to be served and enjoyed. You can serve it plain, or topped with nuts or berries - anything that suits your taste!
