Next, choose the smoothie base. For this, add 1 or 2 glasses of milk or plant-based milk including: almond milk, oat milk, rice milk, hazelnut milk or soya milk, to the fruit. If you want, instead of milk or plant-based milk you can opt for fruit juice, coconut milk or water. If the chopped-up fruits contain a lot of juice then don't add in too much liquid. You want the smoothie to have a smooth texture, and if there's too much water it will look more as a regular juice than a smoothie.

Then it's time to add the ingredients that will thicken your smoothie. To do so, pour in products that will give it some creaminess and that are nutritious, like ice cream, kefir, yoghurt, peanut butter, almond butter, oatmeal or chia seeds.

Adding spices, herbs or fruit is recommended to enhance the taste of your smoothie a little. And to sweeten it, don't limit yourself to sugar: there are many ways to do it! In terms of sweeteners, you can use white sugar, brown sugar, stevia, honey, sweeteners and even agave syrup. On the other hand, you can also flavour it with cinnamon, mint leaves, dates and vanilla.

Finally, to finish preparing the smoothie you can add some superfoods as they contain many nutritional benefits that will complement your smoothie. As is the case with goji berries, pure cocoa powder, wheat germ, flaxseed, spirulina or bee pollen.

Then simply keep it well chilled and enjoy a healthy and delicious natural drink!
