Before starting the recipe, it is important to understand what you can include in a Kinder egg so you can surprise the children. The most important thing is that you don't put anything inside that is too dangerous, especially if it is a small toy or a small figurine of one of their favourite characters. We particularly recommend that you include jelly beans, small biscuits or a chocolate bar for ease and convenience. We have no doubt they'll love them!

If you want to surprise someone older, you can try leaving a note with a motivational phrase inside, or a clue that will lead to another surprise. Transform your homemade Kinder egg into a sweet surprise!

2

Making a homemade Kinder egg is very simple. To begin, melt the baking chocolate in a bowl. You can buy this chocolate at any supermarket or speciality pastry shop. As stated, this chocolate can be made with either pure dark or milk chocolate, according to your own tastes as this will be the base of your sweet egg.

To melt it, you can either do it in a bain marie or in the microwave. If you're melting it on the microwave, always do short time intervals and keep stirring it so that the chocolate does not burn.

3

Once you have melted the chocolate, leave it to cool slightly and then pour it in to fill your egg moulds. The trick to a good egg is to fill the mould with the right amount, without there being any excess chocolate. Remember that you will include another layer of chocolate later and that you should leave an empty space inside, which is where you will place the surprise in your homemade Kinder egg.

4

Leave the chocolate eggs to cool at room temperature in the mould for 10 minutes or so, and then place them in the refrigerator to harden.

5

When the base of the egg has cooled, it is time to melt the second part of chocolate coating by using the white chocolate. Repeat the same steps as with the dark chocolate: melt it in a bain marie or at intervals in the microwave, always being careful not to burn it. When fully melted, leave it to temper for a few minutes.

6

Then, take the mould out of the refrigerator and pour the white chocolate onto the black chocolate carefully. To perform this step, we recommend that you use a spoon and don't pour the chocolate directly on. This will stop the first layer of chocolate from melting due to the heat of the white chocolate. You can also use a brush to help, so the white layer can be thinner than the black layer.

7

When you have two layers of chocolate in the mould, put it back in the refrigerator to cool completely and so the egg will harden. A couple of hours will be enough.

8

You have now reached the most delicate moment of the recipe. You must carefully remove the chocolate eggs from the moulds. When you have both halves, place a surprise inside. Then melt some chocolate and glue the two sides so you have a whole egg. We suggest that you do this with the help of a brush.

9

There you have it! You have your own homemade Kinder eggs with this simple and quick recipe. A sweet surprise that will delight the palates of both young and old. Try it!
