Making brownies in the microwave is as simple as it sounds, and it will only take you a few minutes. First of all, it's best to use a microwaveable glass bowl. Break the chocolate into pieces and place with the butter into the bowl.
Put the bowl in the microwave and put it on medium power for 1 minute. When the time is up, remove and check if it has melted. If not, put it back in the microwave for another 10 seconds more. Repeat if necessary. It is important that we don't put the brownies on a high power setting as this could burn the chocolate.
Afterwards, crack the eggs to a separate bowl and mix in the already sifted flour, sugar, cocoa powder and baking powder. Once mixed, add the runny chocolate and butter mixture. Mix together until you get an even brownie batter.
Grease a microwave-safe flat dish with butter to stop the brownies from sticking, then pour in your brownies mix. Microwave the dish at 750W for 5 minutes.
After this time is up, test if it is ready by sticking a knife into the centre of the brownie dish and if it comes out clean then it's done.
