Steps to follow:
1

To make oat milk is very simple, you just need oatmeal, water and a pinch of salt. It is very important to keep the salt in the recipe as it serves to enhance the flavour of the oats. Only eliminate the salt if you cannot use salt for health reasons. Optional ingredients: you can use vanilla or cinnamon and some sweetener such as stevia, sugar or dates.

The best thing about this alternative is that it's full of health benefits, which is why it would be convenient to add this beverage to your diet.

2

The first thing you should do is cover all the oat flakes with water and leave to soak overnight. The water we use now is not that specified previously in the ingredients list; here simply add whatever amount needed to cover the oats. The next morning, drain what water is left and leave the oats in a high rim bowl to beat them. Use a food processor if possible as it will more comfortable.

Now add the litre of water in the same container, a pinch of salt and any optional ingredients you may want and beat at high speed for two minutes. If you want the flavour to be more intense you can slightly reduce the amount of water. When all ingredients are well blended and smooth let it sit for at least an hour.

4

After this you must strain the mixture to extract the oat milk. You will have to do this with a fine mesh strainer or by use of a gauze or cotton cloth if you do not have an appropriate strainer. If necessary, strain a second time. We recommend that you move the flakes with a spoon when in the strainer to extract the milk faster.

When you have strained all the milk you should store it in the refrigerator to be better preserved. All done! You have your homemade oatmeal milk ready to drink. This milk will last four to five days, so if you think this is too much to drink in that period reduce the quantities of the recipe.
