Pannacotta is a delicious Italian dessert from the region of Piedmont; a desert which is increasingly fashionable. If you want to surprise your guests with a very good desert and not make a typical crème brûlée or similar, then pannacotta is an excellent idea. The base of this desert is milk and cream, and it can be decorated and sweetened in different ways. We at OneHowTo propose how to make pannacotta with red berries.
To begin to prepare the pannacota with red berries you have put the milk in a medium size pan together with the cream and some 150 grams of sugar. Stir the mixture whilst on the heat, it is very important to ensure that it does not attach to the base and go lumpy as it warms up.
After some 4 minutes of stirring add the vanilla to give it that delicious aroma and taste. Meanwhile, turn to soak the gelatine.
When the mixture is nice and hot but not boiling, withdraw it from the heat and add the gelatine which was previously put in to soak. Once the gelatin is mixed with milk and cream, it must be stirred with intensity to have it dissolve entirely.
When the ingredients are combined and the mixture is smooth and without lumps, it is time to distribute the mixture in a single large or multiple small moulds, which ever you prefer. What remains is to prepare the red berry sauce to put more emphasis on the pannacotta recipe.
For the red berry sauce we must bake the berries for 15 minutes with 150 grams of sugar. After cooking, strain the product so it well pressed and very smooth. And just like this the topping is ready!
