How to make tagliatelle with prawns
It's hard to find someone who does not like pasta, Italian cuisine is one of the most well-known and tasty types of food. Tagliatelle, like other types of pasta, ca be cooked a thousand ways: carbonara, with mushroom sauce or with prawns. In particular, tagliatelle with prawns constitutes a delicious dish: it isn't heavy, it's very tasty and very simple to make. To make tagliatelle with prawns, the first thing you must do is peel the prawns and wash them well. Remove the head and the whole shell and make sure that nothing remains. Wash them, dry them with paper towels and put them aside. If the prawns are not very large, it is best not to cut them, but leave them whole.
Next chop the garlic into thin slices and the shallot. A shallot is a type of French onion characterized by being sweeter than a normal onion. It brings a special flavour to dishes but if you don't have them, you can opt for a normal onion. Cut into small pieces and put it to one side.
In a pan, put a little olive oil and fry the garlic and onion. When browned, add the prawns. Let the prawns fry a bit on a low heat to prevent burning. The prawns should be dry and not release water to avoid damaging the sauté.
Peel the tomato or tomatoes if they are small. This is the next step to make noodles with prawns: once you have washed and diced the tomatoes, add them to the pan, along with the prawns, garlic and onion. Let the sauce marinate in the pan. Do not forget to add salt and a teaspoon of sugar to eradicate acidity of the tomatoes. Add a little pepper to taste, if you like it spicy.
Then pour the half glass of fish broth into the pan and leave everything cook for 10 to 15 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly. Now taste the sauce and add salt if needed.
To make tagliatelle with prawns, at the same time put a pan of water on to boil. Once the water is boiling (do not do it before) put the tagliatelle in the pan. Add a drizzle of olive oil and a little salt. Leave to cook as indicated on the packaging until the pasta is "al dente".
The final step in making our tagliatelle with prawns is to drain the pasta to remove the water and once drained, pour the pasta into the pan with the sauce. Let the flavour blend for 3 to 4 minutes and then serve it up. At serving time, you can garnish with a little parsley. Enjoy your tagliatelle with prawns!
