Here at OneHowTo.com, we are sharing this extraordinary one pot creamy spaghetti recipe, with an alternative for vegetarians too.
The first step to make one pot creamy spaghetti is to take an 8 quart stockpot, and cook the sausage in it over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes. Make sure it is no longer pink in appearance. Once it is cooked, drain it. You may also use ground beef instead of sausage, if you like. Moreover, if you are a vegetarian or want a less fattening recipe, you can cook vegan tofu sausages instead. In this case, it's better to let them boil for a little longer to get a softer texture.
The next step is to add the tomatoes, spaghetti, broth, pepper flakes and cream to the mixture, and heat to a full boil. If you don’t want to use the chicken broth, you may also use vegetable broth instead.
Reduce the heat to medium flame, and let it cook for 15-20 minutes. Keep stirring with a fork or tongs from time to time until the sauce becomes creamy and thick and the pasta becomes tender.
Mist some cooking spray before filling the pot, as it will help in avoiding the stains in your pot due to the pasta sauce.
Serve with shredded Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves. You may also serve this dish with a crusty French loaf.
