Spanish omelette or tortilla de patatas with potato and onion is one of the typical dishes in Spain that is usually a success when made at home for dinner guests. This is a relatively easy recipe that is made with inexpensive ingredients and that can be bought in any supermarket. In this video we're going to show you a simple and healthy way to make a traditional potato omelette. The main advantages of this omelette is that you'll save time and the potatoes are made without oil and will therefore be more healthy. You'll need:

The first thing we're going to do is cut the onion finely to put it in a glass container and then put the container in the microwave for 5 minutes on maximum power.

Then we'll cut the potatoes finely and add to the onion that has been heating for 5 minutes in the microwave. Stir it all well and put it all together in the microwave for 15 minutes on maximum power, taking it out every 5 minutes to stir the potatoes and onions and check they are cooking properly.

Once the potatoes and onion are cooked, add the beaten egg and mix it all. Put the mix in a non-stick pan and finish cooking as if it were a normal omelette.
