How to Make Avocado Smoothie
Smoothies are delicious and are a good alternative for getting all the vitamins and nutrients that this food offers. To prepare this delicious avocado smoothie you need to prepare the fruit. Take two fresh, quality avocados that will deliver on flavour. Wash and peel the avocados, then cut them in half with a knife and remove the stones. Using a spoon, separate the skin from the flesh by scooping it out, following its shape. Once peeled, cut into small pieces so they will be easier to blend with the other ingredients.
Once you've chopped the avocados, put them into the mixer bowl. Add 500ml milk and begin to blend at medium speed. If you want to make vegan avocado smoothie, we recommend you substitute cow's milk with almond or oat milk.
Blend for a few seconds. Remember that you can add whatever type of milk you prefer to your avocado shake, even soya milk, because it does not alter the taste and will be just as good.
Whilst beating, gradually add 4 spoonfuls of white sugar. If you want a smoother avocado shake, you can use icing sugar instead. Continue whisking all the ingredients for a few minutes until you see they are blended fully.
When the mixture has blended, strain it through a strainer to remove any traces of unblended pulp to get a much smoother smoothie. By following these simple steps, you will have a homemade avocado shake that is ready to drink. You can sprinkle some cinnamon on top and decorate the edge of the glass with mint leaves before serving if you prefer.
